Dr. Bonnie Muffoletto, DVM and Owner

Bonnie grew up in western New York and is a graduate of Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.  After practicing elsewhere in the area, she purchased Cayuga Pet Hospital in 1999. In addition to general small animal medicine and surgery, she specializes in dentistry, basic orthopedic repairs, exotics, and poultry.

She lives with her husband, Tom, and daughter, Alice, on a small farm with their dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, horse, and cows. In her spare time, Bonnie enjoys gardening, crafting, cooking, and is involved in the local 4-H.

Dr. Rebecca Wood, VMD

Education

Rebecca was born and raised in a very small town in western New York.  She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Rebecca’s veterinary interests include preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. She currently sees dogs, cats, and rabbits and is actively expanding her knowledge of other small mammals.

Rebecca shares her home with her husband, Jon (a fellow veterinarian), her sons, Forrest and Orion, and their Old English Sheepdog, Pollyanna.  In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys hiking, cooking, bird watching and photography.

Alex Wolverton, Practice Manager

Education

Alex is an Ithaca native, who has worked in animal medicine in shelters, as a herdsman, and as a veterinary assistant. She is currently preparing to apply for her DVM. When she is not working, Alex enjoys spending time with her animals, taking care of her houseplants, reading, gaming, and is currently house-hunting.

She shares her home with her six cats (Gremlin, Topher, Squash, Claptrap, Zombie, and Lonestar), Cane Corso, Thea, and two chickens, Chicken Wicken and M’Lady Q-Tip. She also has a rescued Holstein steer, named Gabriel.

Carlyne Bennett, Office Manager

Education

Bachelor of Arts, State University of New York, Cortland

Carlyne has worked at Cayuga Pet Hospital since the hospital moved to its present location in 2005. Her interests outside of work include photography (you can see her beautiful artwork throughout our hospital), spending time with her friends, preparing for her annual Halloween extravaganza, hanging out with her lovely calico, Primrose, and enjoying the sun at her cottage with her husband, Doug.

Sue Prokop, LVT

Education

Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology, State University of New York, Delhi

Sue grew up on a small dairy farm in the Catskills and has worked at various mixed animal practices in New Mexico, Idaho, and Indiana as well as New York. She lives with her husband, Bill, a large animal veterinarian, and their four cats: Ellie, Xena, Razzle, and Stevie. When she is not working, you can find Sue gardening, sewing, hiking, biking, skiing, and kayaking.

Nicki Angyal, Client Services Specialist

Education

Associates Degree in Equestrian Studies, University of Findlay

Nicki has a strong equine background and has worked in small animal and exotic veterinary clinics for over 20 years. She and her husband, Doug, share their home with their two cats, Tyler and Durden, and their turtle, Monkey. In 2018, Nicki and Doug rescued a pit-bull/Rottweiler mix named Rip, who you will often see hanging out at the clinic. When Nicki is not working, she can be found traveling or planning her next adventure.

Liz Kehas-Dewaghe, Veterinary Assistant

Liz is a New Hampshire native, who has worked in animal hospitals and shelters since she was in high school and is our most experienced veterinary assistant. She is currently with us part-time while she works on her master’s degree. Liz shares her home with her husband, France, and four cats: Asterix, Nikita, Rory, and Mopti. She enjoys drawing, gardening, and everything in nature.

Deanna Myskew, Veterinary Assistant

Education

Bachelor of Science, Cornell University

Deanna has a background in animal science and has extensive knowledge of exotics, particularly birds and reptiles. She shares her home with her fiance, Kevin, and a small menagerie of tiny beasts. When she is not at the hospital, Deanna can be found dancing, drawing, and looking for snakes and turkey vultures.

Megan Hollister, Veterinary Assistant

Education

Bachelor of Science, Cornell University

Megan has a degree in Animal Science and is currently taking a gap year before applying to veterinary school. She lives with her boyfriend and three kittens: Niko, Rosebud, and Darwin. Megan loves music and all throughout her secondary education and into college, she played the saxophone in the jazz and marching bands as well as mallet instruments in the indoor Drumlin.
