Our Mission
At Cayuga Pet Hospital, we are dedicated to medical excellence and compassionate care. We are an independent, small animal, exotics, and poultry clinic, committed to providing the best individualized and comprehensive medicine through all life stages. We offer preventative, diagnostic, surgical, and dental care. The safety and comfort of every animal is our primary goal.
We are a woman-owned small business serving our local community since 1997!
We strongly recommend pet insurance for all companion animals. This is a personal decision based on the breed of your pet, your financial situation, and your risk aversion. We direct all of our clients to Pawlicy to research the best fit for their family.

Our values define us:
We are committed to animal welfare and to practicing the best medicine: our doctors and staff are continually learning and evolving. We do everything we can to make our patients comfortable and to foster a fear-free environment. We are a safe and inclusive space, celebrating and uplifting the diversity of our staff and clients. Medicine is necessarily wasteful but we do everything we can to practice sustainably: we compost food and organic matter; recycle and re-use whatever we can; and repair and maintain our clinic and equipment to reduce waste.
We are proud of our female leadership and are committed to making our practice a family-friendly environment. All of our staff are paid a living wage and entitled to paid sick time. Full-time employees enjoy paid time off, access to affordable health care, paid holidays, and contribution to a 401k retirement plan with matching funds and annual profit sharing.

We love rescues!
Are you planning to adopt an animal from our local SPCA or Browncoat Cat Rescue? If so, call us to make an appointment for their first visit! We offer a free new patient exam for pets scheduled within two weeks of adoption. Please email us with all of their records and vaccine information in advance of your appointment – and don’t forget to bring a fecal sample!
