Our Mission

At Cayuga Pet Hospital, we are dedicated to providing the ultimate in veterinary care. We are a hospital filled with people who love what they do, constantly striving to provide excellence in our service. As a small animal, exotics, and poultry clinic, we are committed to providing the best individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care from birth through the golden years.  Our clinic is a full-service veterinary hospital. From preventative care to diagnostics, surgery, basic orthopedic repairs, and dental care, all of our services are provided with the utmost sensitivity for your pet. The safety and comfort of every animal is our primary goal. Please visit our Services page for more information.

We maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere and enjoy getting to know our clients as well as their pets. Please feel free to call or email us with any questions – our friendly staff is always happy to help. To learn more about our doctors and staff, please visit our Meet Our Family page.

We are a part of our community

Cayuga Pet Hospital is proud to serve Browncoat Cat Rescue by offering free medical and surgical services for feral cats and kittens. Please call the hospital to find out how you can contribute! You can also visit our GoFundMe page to make a specific donation to our larger rescue projects.

Visit Browncoat Cat Rescue or stop by Alley Cat Cafe (open for takeout and donations during COVID) and show some love to these wonderful felines and the people who help them.

Our values define us: our commitment to animal welfare and to practicing the best medicine.

  • At Cayuga Pet Hospital, we are also committed to social justice and equality. We are a woman-owned and operated hospital. We are a living wage employer. Our hospital is a safe zone: we do not tolerate discrimination, and we have a gender-neutral, handicap-accessible bathroom.
  • We are a small business and we believe in supporting the small businesses in our community. We buy supplies locally, hire locally, regularly support local restaurants, and encourage our clients to shop locally for their animals’ needs.
  • There is no Planet B. Medicine is necessarily wasteful, but we do everything we can to minimize that waste, re-use what we can, recycle, and compost.

We love rescues!

Are you planning to adopt an animal from a local rescue or shelter? If so, call us to make an appointment for their first visit! We offer free exams for rescued animals scheduled within two weeks of adoption. Please email us with all of their records and vaccine information in advance of your appointment – and don’t forget to bring a fecal sample!

If you are a new client, make sure to also email us a copy of your New Client Form.

And be sure to check out our Wellness Plans.
